Come and meet, those dancing feet!
Get out your tap shoes!
It is that time of year again, the hangover from the Christmas festivities is looming and our social calendars are as bleak as the winter weather but fear not, Ayr Amateur Opera Company are about to kick you back into touch with our toe-tapping extravaganza- 42nd Street. The company are thrilled to showcase over 7 months’ worth of hard work, preparation and excitement to bring you our latest musical treat. This classic show, being produced by past AAOC talent Martin Christie is set to be a showstopper.
To raise vital funds, in order to maintain the stellar quality of show that we produce, you will see, photographed below, some eager company members at our annual carol singing fundraiser in December. We would like to thank you, the public, for donating a whopping figure, just shy of £1,000! As well as the public’s generosity we also love those that join in and sing along!
So with rehearsals well under way we are swapping our platforms for tap shoes with our upcoming production of the Tony award-winning musical ‘42nd Street’ – a lively and toe-tapping musical comedy.
The foot is well and truly on the pedal with two weeks to go, get your tickets now from the Gaiety box office, what are you waiting for?
The show runs from Monday February 1st to Saturday 6th February in the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr.
