Summer Update

A WARM WELCOME FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our 2016-17 season. We have recently held our AGM and are now busy organising behind the scenes to get ready for rehearsal season starting in September. If any of you are interested, or someone you know is interested in becoming a member, we will be holding new member auditions in September. Please see below for further details on how to apply.

I am so excited to be President during this year's production of the fabulous Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. What a superb show, giving the audience that feel good factor that we all love! I'm sure rehearsals are going to be most enjoyable for all concerned topped by a fantastic week in the newly refurbished Ayr Gaiety Theatre with our wonderful audiences. I am delighted to report that our production team is remaining the same as last year'. Martin Christie as producer, Stephen Bradley as musical director and Jo-Ann Robinson as choreographer. This very talented group of people strive throughout the year to get the very best from each and every member of the cast, and we all appreciate their hard work and dedication.

To you our audience, thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you all at this season's performance of 9 to 5 in the Gaiety Theatre, Monday 27th February - Saturday 4th March 2017

Here we have two of our Tough Mudder participants getting ‪#ToughMudderReady‬ with Scottish Assault Courses at the weekend! Good weather, good company and good practice!

OFFICE HOURS FOR AAOC

9 To 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy - giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she?

This high-energy Musical will be perfect for our company this year, with its jubilant score and easily relatable characters. It's easy to see how 9 To 5 is the perfect show for us to take to our newly refurbished Gaiety Theatre.
